This week we have our first ever guest on the podcast: Ella Gallego. Ella is a writer and researcher based in California, who created and published the Monstrous Desires Study. Dive into WHY so many people are into monster romance, the demographics behind it, and what keeps us scaroused… scared and aroused! Hit play and nestle up to the academic side of monstrous desire.

Meet our guest:

Ella Gallego

Ella Gallego is a writer and researcher based in California, US. Her short stories, creative fiction, and non-fiction pieces have been published in various publications such as PublishED, The Scotland Correspondence, Pseudo Mag, and The Independent Publishing Magazine. Oscillating between the States and Scotland, Ella attended the University of Stirling to obtain her MLitt in Publishing Studies, where her academic research categorized the contemporary literary genre of Dark Romance as well as configured the basis for a cohesive readership ethnography.

When Ella is not obsessing over erotic monsters in media, from movies to books to comics, she’s reading, making Suminagashi marbled paper to screen print on, assembling puppets, yelling about capitalism, and wondering why the hell she doesn’t have a job.

Check out the fascinating data results for yourself!
